SoProAI is a generative AI assistant designed to help proposal writers at Sodexo in research and ideation to better support their client and business needs.
The original design had problems guiding users on how to use the AI assistant to draft their prompts.
It's hard to tell who is the LLM and who is the user.
I'm confused about what to type.
The chat is pretty straightforward.
The input feels longer than it should.
During a series of interviews with stakeholder and relevant users, I built a user journey and a list of pain points relevant to each stage.
Because Sodexo has its own brand identity and design system, I also had a discussion with their lead designer to better adhere to the brand guidelines.
During the implementation phase of this project, I ran into a few issues as the main frontend developer. The design gap between what I designed and the pre-existing code made it so that I had to balance the experience of the deisgn and the feasibility of building it. I compromised with alternate designs that are still relatively easy to implement without losing its core functionality.
In future projects with pre-existing development, I believe that understanding what has been implemented should be a factor in the redesign process.
